A New Chapter for Sustainable Food Innovation: Collateral Good Takes Over Management of €100M Fund

Zurich, August 19th, 2025 – We are excited to share an important milestone for Collateral Good and for the future of sustainable food innovation.

This summer, we were entrusted with the management of a Sustainable-Food-Fund with approximately €100 million in assets under management. The fund, formerly known as Blue Horizon Ventures I, will now operate under its new name: Collateral Good Food Innovation I.

Our mission with this fund is clear: to unlock the full potential of a portfolio of 14 groundbreaking companies shaping the future of food. From pioneers in plant-based nutrition (Planted) to leaders in precision fermentation (Every, Geltor, Chromologics, Algama) and cultivated meat (Mosa Meat), these companies are driving innovation that is essential to feeding a growing global population sustainably.

This transition was made possible thanks to the confidence and support of the fund’s investors. In a process organized by Deloitte Luxembourg, over 85% of the Limited Partners chose Collateral Good to guide this next chapter. We are deeply grateful for their trust—it is both humbling and motivating.

Leading this effort are our co-founders Mariana Gonzalez and Michael Kleindl, supported by Partners Cyril Zimmermann and Jarne Elleholm and a strong team and network of experienced advisors, including Maxence de Royer (Nestlé)Constantino Matouk (Bimbo Corporation), and Frank Alexander Kühne (Adalbert Raps Stiftung).

While recent years, and possibly the quarters ahead, have brought and may continue to bring challenges for the alternative protein and food tech sectors, the medium- and long-term outlook remains strong. We firmly believe that innovation in this space is essential to building a climate-positive future and a resilient global food system.

To our investors, partners, advisors, and the incredible founders driving this change: thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, we are building solutions that matter.
