Dr. Martin Hintze is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and business leader with a career spanning over three decades. Since co-founding Dr. Hintze & Co. OHG in 1992 with his brother Florian, Martin has built a successful track record in real estate investments, focusing on residential and commercial properties in Berlin and its surrounding areas. Over time, the business has grown to include diverse project developments, reflecting his entrepreneurial vision.
Through Hintze Holding, Martin has broadened his investment portfolio to include several high-growth companies, particularly in FinTech, Healthcare, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Nutrition, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and sustainability.
In addition to his entrepreneurial achievements, Martin spent more than 20 years at Goldman Sachs, where he played a pivotal role in the firm’s private equity business. As a Managing Partner, he led the European investment division until 2020, overseeing acquisitions across a broad range of industries. His leadership extended to serving on supervisory boards in sectors such as industrial gases, cable television, mechanical engineering, building materials, specialty chemicals, renewable energy, marine electronics, and the food industry.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Martin is a dedicated CrossFit athlete and long-distance swimmer, reflecting his passion for personal challenges and well-being. He is also deeply committed to social and environmental causes. Martin serves as a member of the Greenpeace Oceans Board and as Vice President of Save the Children, working closely with his wife, Åsa, to support initiatives that protect the environment and improve the lives of children worldwide.
