The Story So Far

Agrain, a Copenhagen-based company, has developed proprietary technology to upcycle Brewer's Spent Grain (BSG), transforming this byproduct of beer production into valuable food ingredients like flour and liquids. This innovation enhances the yield and value of an underutilized resource, aligning with the principles of sustainability and circular economy. Agrain’s technology valorizes BSG to produce commercially viable, high-functionality ingredients that boost nutritional value while maintaining full recipe compatibility. Initially focused on a direct-to-consumer (BtC) product line, Agrain is now prioritizing business-to-business (BtB) applications to expand impact.

With a unique patent portfolio, Agrain’s business model supports scalability through joint ventures and licensing, while in-house production guarantees quality and innovation. Agrain’s approach positions it as a leader in sustainable food production, turning waste into opportunity while promoting circular solutions in the global food industry.
